This is right after we arrived Friday afternoon. The kids were rerady to get out and play in the snow!!

This snow was too powdery to build a snowman with so the boys were a little bummed about that but they still had a blast!
Someone made a sledding hill right outside our condo. The kids loved sledding and it was the cheapest thing we did. A little more painful for the adults that tried it. Not much cushioning in those sleds!!
Grandma and I took the boys on a sleigh ride while Jason, Kayla and my dad went skiing. We're waiting our turn.

This is Kaden 's first attempt at ice skating. He did very well and had a ton of fun. It was much easier this time because Jason was there to help with the boys. We both held Kaden's hands and zoomed him around the rink.

Keaton asked and asked when are we going ice skating? Well, we finally made it there and he did good too. He can somewhat do it by himself now. Unforutnately, a little girl that was skating took a very hard fall. I'm not sure what she did but the paramedics were called and they eventually took her out on the stretcher. Must have been a broken collarbone or shoulder injury. Ouch!

More sledding!! Mr. Daredevil himself. Kaden loves it rough and tough. He'd get thrown out of the sled or get taken out by Keaton and he'd just get right back up laughing.

Keaton must have been the ideal weight for those sleds because he flew down the hill and almost always went the farthest.

I was impressed he did really well and seemed to be enjoying himself. Boy did he crash that night though. They wore him out. I think he enjoyed being with kids his own age.

I think they call this the pizza? That is what they tell them in ski school to learn how to snow plow.

Well, I'm sure by now everyone has pretty much heard Kayla's ski story. Unfortunately for her she had a bad fall her first day out and couldn't ski the rest of the week. She was going down a blue and it turned out to be much harder than they anticipated. It ended up being the hardest blue at the resort. Anyway, if you have ever skiied with Kayla you know she goes really fast and does not turn hardly at all. Well, that is what she was doing and it was just too steep for that. She lost control and just went zooming down the mountain. Jason said he was yelling to her to get her just to fall or turn or anything but she was in a panic. She fell and face first kept going down the mountain for a good 15 feet. Her skies did not pop off which is probably why her knee got so banged up.

She had to be brought down by the ski patrol, I think more because she was so scared after the fall than because she was hurt. That was the end of her skiing on this trip. So here we are at Urgent care a few days after her fall. Her knee was pretty swollen and she had a hard time walking on it. They said it was just a good twisting and said she should be okay in a few more days.

We've always heard about in and out burgers and I've been wanting to try it. It is an out west thing I guess. We thought it was really good! The menu cracked us up though. You had a choice between a hamburger, cheese burger, or a double cheese burger. That was it. Moral of this story is you better like burgers!! The boys would not be happy eating here!

Our last day Kayla really wanted to try to ice skate. She probably shouldn't have because of her knee but it was the last day of vacation and she pretty much hadn't been able to do anything else. She would go around a couple of times and then she would have to sit for a few minutes but i was glad she was able to do it some.

Kaden is too cute with his sled! One time he got all the way to the top of the hill with it and dropped the cord and it started sliding back down the hill and he was just running as fast as he could after it trying to catch it and finally he just dove on it. It was too cute and we couldn't stop laughing about it! He then had to climb all the way up the hill again with it.
